Devotal, the company behind Barefoot Luxury, was founded by shareholders Jan Louis Talboom, Serge Hannecart and Jaap Rosen Jacobson. These founders bring extensive experience in construction and real estate. Jan Talboom discovered the land for Barefoot Luxury and partnered with Serge and Jaap to develop it. Jan is the former CEO of Talboom Group, a Belgian study bureau with 120 employees across four departments: Pharmachem, architectural and industrial buildings, infrastructure, and environment/energy.
Serge Hannecart, known in Belgian real estate, has over 30 years of experience in developing residential and commercial properties. He owns LIFEWORLD, a holding company for his various real estate ventures. More information on Serge is available at www.lifeworld.be.
Family Jacobson has been active in private investments since 1984. Jaap Rosen Jacobson founded Panta Holdings B.V., a private equity investment vehicle, through which he invested in diverse sectors, including aviation, aerospace, real estate, hospitality, and energy.

Devotal appointed POLO Architects, founded in 1991 by Mauro Poponcini and Patrick Lootens, to design and construct the project. POLO Architects, with studios in Antwerp and Brussels, employs over 100 multidisciplinary professionals specializing in urbanism, architecture, interior design, and research.
